About this product

Shelled pecans are significantly more calorie-dense and rich in healthy fats (especially oleic acid), plant-based protein, and dietary fiber. They also contain concentrated micronutrients like manganese, copper, vitamin E (gamma-tocopherol), and zinc:

• Healthy Fats: Over 70% of a pecan's composition is fat, largely consisting of heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs). • Antioxidants: Pecans rank highest among all tree nuts for antioxidant capacity and are in the top 20 of all foods. They are uniquely dense in polyphenols and gamma-tocopherol (a specialized form of Vitamin E). • Minerals: Pecans are excellent, highly bioavailable sources of manganese (crucial for bone health) and copper (important for nerve and immune function). • Carbohydrates: Unlike many starchy or root vegetables, pecans are extremely low in carbohydrates, making them ideal for keto or low-glycemic diets.

• Pesticide Avoidance: Because nuts are incredibly rich in oil, they have a tendency to absorb and accumulate synthetic pesticides and post-harvest treatments and fumigants.. • Antioxidant Levels: Some research suggests that chemical-free pecans may boast even higher antioxidant contents due to the natural, pesticide-free stress response of the tree.
