What Do Microwaves and X-Rays do to Hot Dogs, and Babies?
Shocking Research on Infertility, Down Syndrome and Children's Sex
Before the age of microwave ovens, Navy’s radar operators during World War II used “radar shacks” to heat up soups or cook beef and hot dogs. Other servicemen regularly cooked popcorn inside radomes.
Scientists soon realized microwaves can living cells the same way they heat food. That meant microwave exposures impacted heat-sensitive tissues and cells in the human body like testes and sperm cells in men. In 1965, funded by United States Public Health Service, Dr. Siegler and researchers at The Johns Hopkins University published a study that showed children’s risk of developing Down syndrome correlated strongly with the exposure of their fathers to microwaves (radars, low frequency electromagnetic waves) but also their mothers to medical X Rays (high frequency ionizing electromagnetic waves):
“As part of an epidemiologic study in Baltimore Maryland, a population of parents of both Mongoloid and control children was evaluated for exposure to various types of ionizing radiation. Utilizing interview technique and medical record analysis, the study demonstrated a statistical association between maternal radiation exposure and Mongolism [Down Syndrome]. Mothers of the Mongoloid children were found to have a significantly increased exposure to both fluoroscopic and therapeutic irradiation (like X Rays) prior to the birth of the index child. In contrast, there were no significant differences in ionizing radiation exposure found in the fathers of the Mongol and control children. However, a surprising increase in radar exposure was discovered in a significant number of fathers of the Mongol cases. These results suggest that maternal ionizing radiation exposure may be one etiological factor responsible for some cases of Mongolism. It is emphasized, however, that ionizing radiation may be only one of several factors in the pathogenesis of the condition.”

The US Army Medical Research and Development Command did not like this report so they soon generously funded (hired) one of the authors of the original study (Dr. Cohen) to show he could not replicate his original findings about “a possible association of Down syndrome with maternal medical radiation and paternal radar exposure!” But even Cohen’s new study could not deny the fact that there were “chromosome aberrancy” in radar-exposed fathers.
Today, we have a lot more evidence of the link between radar operators having a higher proportion of daughters, and the effect of radio frequency on their sperm quality. A 2008 cross-sectional study of 10,497 men serving in the Royal Norwegian Navy, has shown that infertility increased significantly along with increasing self-reported exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields. There were also significant linear trends with lower ratio of boys to girls at birth when the father reported a higher degree of radiofrequency electromagnetic exposure. New research (published in 2018) shows children of radar-exposed fathers also suffer severe genetic mutations so Siegler’s 1965 study about Down Syndrome is validated.
Multiple studies have confirmed radio frequency waves employed in mobile phones, televisions, microwaves, radio, and wireless device are linked to male infertility and other genetic health effects on the male reproductive system which could be a primitive factor to induce cancer risk.
Unfortunately, radiation exposure can cause damages not only to those directly exposed but sadly to their offspring as well. But the effect of radio frequencies and microwaves go beyond fertility, child’s sex, and birth defects. In his 2014 light-hearted science book [Honey, They Cooked The Kids (Illustrated): How Pulsed Microwave Radars are Destroying all Biology](https://www.amazon.com/Honey-They-Cooked-Kids-Illustrated-ebook/dp/B00JBXBCCW/ref=sr13?s=books&sr=1-3), chemical engineer Stewart Simonson writes: “Research around pulsed Doppler Microwave Radars and their damaging effects on biology. Doppler Microwave Radiation from weather, FAA and military radars is being scattered by our atmosphere and irradiating humans as well as all plants and animals, damaging DNA and increasing cancers, autism and other oxidative stress related diseases.”
Pulsed microwaves, when strong enough, can be used as a weapon. Experts believe several US embassies have been hit with high-power pulsed microwaves that can cause serious brain trauma. In fact, in 1949 Thomas Montgomery, a civilian technician working for the Army Signals Corp was repairing a transmitter when a co-worker accidentally turned the wave guide on. Montgomery became blind, deaf and crippled after this incident. Montgomery later found out that leaders of the military-industrial electronics community deliberately ignored safeguard proposals by the Institute of Radio Engineers. In the following years, numerous cases of cataracts, sterility and baldness were reported among microwave technicians and military radar personnel exposed to radiation levels well below 10,000 microwatts per square centimeter, which has been the safe RF (radio frequency) limit set by the FDA and OSHA.

In regards to the effect of X-rays on women observed by Siegler, it is perhaps related to the effect of ionizing electromagnetic waves like X-rays on mitochondrial DNA in women which is inherited by the baby.
The NAVY Scientist Who Mysteriously Vanished!
Before his mysterious vanishing, Dr. Dietrich Beischer was mentioned as lead investigator and volunteer in this 1972 report about the 50 "human guinea pigs" exposed to microwaves in NAVY's experiment. This was a long-term study since “microwave effects may show up years afterwards . . . Genetic damage might not show up until the second generation.” A previous study was cancelled when monkeys exposed to “heavy microwave exposure” became ill.
Dr. Beischer noticed a significant increase in the serum triglycerides of volunteers plus he said he would make his results public by mid-1973 but it did not happen. In his book, The Body Electric, Dr. Robert O. Becker said he had one last call from Dr. Beischer who told him "I cannot contact you any more," before he vanished!
