The Wisdom of Foraging for Wild or Non-Sprayed Clover
As I shared in my recent article “I Now Compete With Bees and Squirrels!” on my other Substack, when I forage for clover in our field, I seem to be competing with bees which recognize good flower and pollen and choose our field’s chemical-free or wild clovers over sprayed patches or chemically-treated seeds (like some new clover seeds in the market).

But why do I forage for clover flowers and leaves this time of the year. Here is why:

Science today is complex, sponsored for profit and politicized. Guided by his God-given conscience and not politics/profits, Ray Armat, Ph.D. is an unsponsored polymath, former NASA grantee and an independent farmer, sharing useful uncensored simplified science with the public. In other words:
- Isoflavones (Biochanin A, Formononetin, Genistein): Supports hormone balance, bone density, and menopause mitigation.
- Flavonoids (Quercetin, Luteolin, Rutin): Provides potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Quercetin is a natural antihistamine and is commonly used for allergy relief.
- Aromatic Phenolic Acids (p-Coumaric, Caffeic, Chlorogenic Acid): Supports healthy blood flow, protects blood vessels, balances glucose, and acts as a safe dietary antioxidant.
- Clovamides (Caffeic acid conjugates): Protects the cardiovascular system and neurons from oxidative degradation.
- Saponins (Soyasapogenols): Supports healthy digestion and metabolic function.
- Anthocyanins: Protects cells from oxidative damage and suppresses systemic inflammation.

Money can buy many things but many other precious gifts in life, which money cannot buy, such as love, health, fellowship/friendship and wisdom, need time, caring and humble effort. Now if we always trade our time for money and to the highest bidder, when can we gain these precious gifts of life (Nature/God)? That’s a question Homo economicus cannot answer.
