The Effect of Draconian COVID-19 Measures on Children's Educational Performance
The Tragic Results are Out!
There is one more piece of evidence that draconian lockdowns, masks and vaccination enforcements possibly harmed more children than they helped. According to recent Educational Benchmarks Data by The Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) and US National Center for Education Statistics*, among the education systems that participated in both the 2019 (before Pandemic) and 2023 administrations of TIMSS, many had lower average scores, including the United States (see chart):

Countries like US, Portugal and Israel with more draconian COVID measures seem to have dropped the most, as judged by historic trends, such as the Grade 8 Trends in Average Mathematics Achievement and Scale Score Distributions (shown below).
Information today is mostly a sponsored business! Guided by conscience and not politics, sponsors or profits, Ray Armat, Ph.D. is an independent polymath, farmer, educator, former food packaging expert and NASA grantee who is dedicating his life to bring people simplified, uncensored scientific insight.

And the burden of worse education has been mostly on the working class and the poor. For example the American 4th-graders in mathematics, 2023 marked the lowest score at the 10th and 25th percentiles since TIMSS began in 1995.
